There is no truth to the allegation that statisticians are mean. They are just your standard normal deviates.

Statisticians do it.  After all, it's only normal.

Statisticians do it with significance.

Statisticians do it continuously but discretely.

Statisticians do it with 95% confidence.

Statisticians do it with only a 5% chance of being rejected.

Statisticians do it with large numbers.

Statisticians do it on randomly.

Statisticians do it stochastically.

And remember:

old statisticians never die, they just undergo a transformation.
